SK Hynix Begins Trading on NASDAQ... Entering the Global AI Capital Market

SK Hynix has launched American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on the NASDAQ stock market, marking its formal entry into the global AI industry and capital markets. This move aims to elevate its position as a global leader and establish a foundation for new growth. ADRs are securities that allow foreign companies to trade their shares on U.S. markets while maintaining their home market listings. On July 10, SK Hynix held an opening bell ceremony at NASDAQ's Times Square site in New York. The ADR listing coincides with accelerated AI adoption, surging demand for data centers, and explosive growth in AI memory requirements. SK Hynix has emerged as a world-leading memory semiconductor company with technological expertise and reliable supply in critical AI accelerator components like high-bandwidth memory (HBM). The company plans to expand its global investor base in the U.S. capital market and solidify its position as an AI memory market leader. SK Hynix finalized its ADR offering price at $149 per share, raising $26.57 billion (approximately KRW 39 trillion) through 177.9 million shares. Prior to the listing, SK Hynix conducted roadshows for global institutional investors in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, focusing on demonstrating its competitive edge and growth potential in the AI memory market. The listing represents a pivotal moment beyond fundraising, strengthening ties to next-generation computing ecosystems and deepening future business opportunities and strategic partnerships. SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung emphasized the keywords 'trust, innovation, and growth' in his NASDAQ listing statement, expressing gratitude to investors and customers while pledging support for employees' achievements and committing to technological leadership in AI-driven environments. The ADR subscription period closes on July 14 (ET), with new share issuance underlying the ADRs to be listed on the KOSPI market in South Korea on July 29 (KST).
