WYF Launches Global AI Talent Compact at AI for Good Global Summit 2026
The World Youth Forum (WYF) launched the Global AI Talent Compact at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026, co-hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Swiss government with over 50 UN agencies. The compact establishes an open global action network based on five commitments: expanding AI literacy access, defining critical human skills for the AI era, scaling project-based learning for real-world challenges, protecting youth well-being, and recognizing capabilities through demonstrated outcomes rather than certifications alone. WYF's Global Executive Director Houston Hou emphasized the need for pathways enabling youth to showcase skills, build trust, and access opportunities, calling the compact a public proposal to co-create such pathways. Notable attendees included former UN Secretary-General Fabrizio Hochschild, ITU's AI for Good Strategy Lead Frédéric Werner, Minerva Project Chair Ben Nelson, and representatives from AI Singapore, ASEAN Foundation, International Trade Centre, and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development.
