Cafe24's 'K Manufacturing Innovation Project' Drives Growth... Participating Companies See Double-Digit Monthly Increases

Cafe24's project supporting domestic manufacturers' transition to e-commerce recorded double-digit monthly growth since its January launch. The strategy targeting consumer-direct sales (D2C) demand appears to be yielding results. As of last month, 85 companies participated in the 'K Manufacturing Smart E-commerce Innovation Project,' a 51.8% increase from 56 companies in March. Food accounted for 53.2% of participants, followed by lifestyle/health (14.3%), fashion apparel (13.0%), and beauty (6.5%). Other sectors included pet supplies (2.6%), home decor (2.6%), and fashion accessories (2.6%). Participating companies demonstrated strong results, with Dolkkoktam, a maker of oat steam masks, achieving threefold sales growth within a month after joining. The company bolstered its digital marketing and data analytics capabilities through Cafe24's support and now operates a Japanese language self-site using Cafe24's global infrastructure. The project targets manufacturers with strong production capabilities struggling to expand consumer reach, providing end-to-end support to transform production prowess into D2C competitiveness. Cafe24 established a comprehensive framework including smart e-commerce systems, PRO-level platform support, data-driven operations, expert consulting, and global expansion linkage. Custom business models such as operational, traffic-focused, and logistics/CS-integrated solutions were also introduced. Cafe24 noted growing D2C demand, citing high participation in its recent K-Manufacturing E-commerce Innovation Conference with double the capacity attendees. Over 90% of participants were decision-makers, and 95% engaged in one-on-one meetings or consultation booths.
