Black Monday: KOSPI Plummets 9%... KOSDAQ Breaks Below 800 Line

South Korea's stock market faced a 'Black Monday' as semiconductor stocks sold off amid foreign institutional selling. The KOSPI fell nearly 9%, dropping below the 6800 line, while the KOSDAQ also plunged below the 800 line. The KOSPI closed at 6806.93, down 669.01 points (8.95%) from the previous day, with the circuit breaker triggered twice during trading. Foreign investors sold 1.7064 trillion won, institutions sold 2.1965 trillion won, while individuals bought 3.881 trillion won. Semiconductor stocks led the declines, with Samsung Electronics dropping 10.70% and SK Hynix plunging 15.37%.
