Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, met women in STEM fields in South Korea to discuss career development and leadership expansion opportunities. She attended the launch reception of the 2026 Empower Programme, a year-long initiative by the British Embassy and British Chamber of Commerce in Korea supporting women in STEM. The event brought together female professionals in AI, science, and technology, with Anne emphasizing the importance of UK-Korea collaboration in fostering innovation. The program provides participants with corporate visits, mentorship, and networking opportunities, with UN Women's office now participating. Anne, who last visited South Korea in 2018, also discussed bilateral cooperation in defense, technology, and fashion before departing for Thailand.
