XRP Ledger's Active Accounts Surpass 8 Million... New Wallet Growth Rate Slows

The number of active accounts on XRP Ledger has surpassed 8 million for the first time, according to blockchain media Cryptodes. Active accounts represent only currently operational wallets, not all created wallets. While the total XRP held by these wallets equals the entire circulation, new wallet growth has slowed recently. Daily new account additions averaged ~2,300 since March 2026, lower than the ~3,000 average in January-March 2026. However, spikes occurred on specific dates like March 19 (8,817), May 29 (4,131), and June 30 (6,221). The slowdown coincides with XRP's price decline from its March 2025 peak of $3.60 to ~$1.10. Despite this, cumulative wallet counts have steadily increased this year, growing from 7.46 million in early 2025 to approximately 8 million currently.
