Yeosu World Island Exhibition 50 Days Away... 750 Citizens Launch Guest Welcome Campaign

Yeosu citizens launched a guest-welcoming campaign focused on hospitality, order, cleanliness, service, and environmental care ahead of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition, set to open 50 days from now. The campaign aims to spread citizen participation and elevate the city's preparation across all areas. On July 15, a citizens' action movement event was held at Isun-sin Plaza, where five citizens representing the five key areas read a resolution for the exhibition's successful hosting. Participants simultaneously unveiled large campaign banners at five central locations and performed a towel-waving performance. With daytime temperatures reaching over 30°C, safety measures included water stations, collaboration with the Yeosu Fire Station, and ambulance readiness, ensuring incident-free event management. Mayor Seo Young-hak praised citizens for their dedication despite the heat, stating their collective effort is the greatest driving force for the exhibition's success.
