Ecopro Bem 'Solid Electrolyte Preliminary Mass Production Review... As Early As Next Year Production'
Ecopro Bem disclosed its roadmap for solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and related value chains during a shareholder meeting on July 16, according to a July 19 report. Research director Kwon Gong-hyun stated the company is reviewing preliminary mass production of solid electrolytes, with production expected as early as next year. The company is preparing to immediately commence production once the production line design is complete and customer demand is confirmed. Kwon emphasized the company's leadership in powder control and quality management technologies critical to solid electrolyte development, noting its pilot plant produces materials that have passed quality verification by major battery manufacturers. Ecopro Bem is also developing solid electrolyte-compatible anode materials, cobalt-free manganese-rich (LMR) cathode materials, sodium-ion battery anode materials, and high-capacity silicon anode materials. The company has optimized production processes to enable rapid mass production transition once orders are secured.
