HD Hyundai Joins Forces with U.S. Largest EPC Firm Kiewit to Promote Local Shipbuilding

HD Hyundai has partnered with Kiewit, the largest U.S. integrated EPC firm, to advance local shipbuilding and block/module production in the United States. This collaboration aims to strengthen local production capabilities while expanding into North American infrastructure markets like floating data centers (FDCs). The strategic partnership, signed in Corpus Christi, Texas, combines HD Hyundai's ship design and supply chain expertise with Kiewit's onshore construction capabilities to jointly develop U.S. shipbuilding opportunities. The collaboration also includes plans for local production of ship blocks and modules, positioning HD Hyundai to expand its presence in U.S. shipbuilding while exploring new business opportunities in energy infrastructure.
