Elis Group to Build Edge AI Infrastructure at Busan Shipbuilding Industrial Complex

Elis Group, a full-stack AI company, announced on June 23 its participation in Busan Shipbuilding Industrial Complex's Edge AI Data Center (DC) construction project led by the Korea Industrial Complex Development Corporation. The project, part of South Korea's 2026 Industrial Complex Edge AI DC Demonstration Pilot Program, will deploy a hybrid GPU-NPU Edge AI DC in Busan's shipbuilding and marine industrial complex to support manufacturing companies' AI transformation. Elis Group will supply its modular AI data center 'Elis AI PMDC' and virtualized AI cloud infrastructure solution 'ECI,' which integrates and manages diverse AI accelerators. The data center will use GPUs for training/validation and high-performance computing, while domestic NPU will handle inference and SaaS services, supporting AI infrastructure built on domestic semiconductor technology. The project marks Elis' first commercial reference for its tested AI PMDC and ECI integration package, with plans to link the Edge AI DC to Elis Cloud for disaster recovery systems featuring uninterrupted power supply and security redundancy.
