NIA Discusses AI Legal Frameworks for Healthcare, Education, and Labor
The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (NIA) held a public seminar on AI legal frameworks for healthcare, education, and labor on July 23. Organized as part of NIA's 'Smart Information Society Legal Framework Forum,' the event was co-hosted by the Korean AI Law Society, the Personal Information Protection Law Society, and the office of Rep. Huang Jeong-a. Participants examined AI's impact on citizens' lives and rights across sectors and debated legal reforms. Experts emphasized the need for legal systems protecting human dignity and fundamental rights while ensuring equitable AI benefits. The forum featured presentations on medical AI ethics, educational AI integration, and labor market transformations, alongside policy recommendations for strengthening citizen rights in AI governance.
