[SAN FRANCISCO AI DECLARATION] Samsung SDS and Anthropic Join Forces with Naver and NVIDIA for Collaboration

At the 'San Francisco AI Summit' attended by President Lee Jae-myung and leading U.S.-Korea AI-related corporate CEOs, a $95 billion AI collaboration initiative was announced. Korean giants Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor, and Naver signed MOUs with AWS, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, and Broadcom to strengthen cooperation across semiconductor, AI infrastructure, and physical AI ecosystems. Samsung SDS formed a strategic partnership with Anthropic to expand enterprise AI markets, combining their technological expertise and industry know-how. Samsung Group and external clients will receive AX (AI Transition) support. The two companies plan extensive collaboration in areas including joint market development, Claude deployment, AI-native transition support for Samsung affiliates, co-marketing, technology validation (PoC), and joint ventures. Naver announced a $10 billion global AI factory expansion with NVIDIA, Brookfield, and others, including a $1 billion investment by NVIDIA for GPU supply and tech collaboration. Brookfield will contribute up to $9 billion to establish a gigawatt-scale AI factory with Naver. SK Telecom and Anthropic signed an MOU for gigawatt-class AI data center construction in South Korea. AWS and SK Telecom will expand AI infrastructure cooperation through the Ulsan AIDC project, combining SK Telecom's domestic AIDC capabilities with AWS's global cloud and AI technologies.
