Morgan Stanley Raising China's Humanoid Robot Delivery Forecast to 50,000 Units
Morgan Stanley has raised its forecast for China's 2026 humanoid robot delivery volume to 50,000 units, reflecting accelerated commercial deployment by Chinese manufacturers. The firm initially projected 14,000 units in early 2026, later increased to 28,000 units in early spring, and now forecasts 50,000 units. Analyst Sung Jong explained that commercialization validation, policy support, and supply chain feedback are driving China's adoption rate. China already accounts for over 80% of global humanoid robot deployments, with 16,000+ units installed worldwide in 2025. Morgan Stanley estimates the Chinese market will reach $2 billion in 2026 and $15 billion by 2030, with annual deliveries reaching 446,000 units by 2030, excluding trial units and internal testing.
