Global CXMT and YMTC Cement Fourth Place in DRAM and NAND Markets... Exploiting Korean Gaps

Samsung and SK Hynix led the global DRAM and NAND flash markets in Q1 2024, but Chinese firms are rapidly capturing market share in mid-low end DRAM and NAND. CXMT secured 8% of DRAM sales, while YMTC surged to 13% in NAND, matching Micron and Sandisk. Growth in DRAM and NAND markets reached 80% quarter-over-quarter and 260% year-over-year, driven by AI server investments and high-performance memory demand.
