Ministry of Science and ICT to Launch Specialized Education on Quantum-Resistant Cryptography

The South Korean government announced plans to train 620 professionals to transition existing cryptographic systems to quantum-resistant cryptography in preparation for the quantum computing era. The Ministry of Science and ICT, in collaboration with KISA, will operate the 'Quantum-Resistant Cryptography Specialized Education' program from July to November. This initiative aims to address growing cybersecurity threats from quantum computing advancements and supports national transition plans for cryptographic systems. The education will consist of three phases: development, transition, and practical implementation, targeting academics, developers, and industry professionals.
