Lotte Mart Opens 16th Store in Vietnam After 3 Years of Absence

Lotte Mart is accelerating its expansion into Southeast Asia by opening its 16th store in Vietnam's emerging industrial city of Tay Ninh. The new location marks its first new store since the West Lake Hanoi outlet in 2023, leveraging a proven grocery format from its renovated stores to expand into smaller cities. The 2,165㎡ (655-tsubo) store features an 88% grocery section, K-fusion deli items, K-noodle stations, and a dedicated K-grocery shop. It also includes a cosmetics section with Korean beauty brands and a uniform pricing zone. The move reflects Lotte Mart's strategy to extend its presence from major cities like Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi to smaller urban areas, supported by Vietnam's industrial policies and growing logistics demands.
