Mokpo to Strengthen Enforcement Against Illegal Disposal of Household Waste

Mokpo City announced on the 10th that it will intensify enforcement against illegal disposal of household waste. The city aims to establish proper waste disposal culture and create a comfortable urban environment by strictly addressing practices such as non-use of measured waste bags, unauthorized dumping, and mixed waste disposal. Household waste must be placed in designated measured waste bags and disposed of at specified locations and times. Non-compliant waste will not be collected, and stickers will be affixed to guide proper disposal. Unauthorized disposal, including mixed waste and oversized items, will be penalized. Enhanced patrols, CCTV monitoring, and content checks will identify violators, with administrative penalties enforced under waste management laws.
