Seoul City Launches AI Agent Construction for Administrative Innovation
Seoul City has initiated the construction of an 'Administrative Support AI Agent' to drive administrative innovation through generative artificial intelligence (AI). The project aims to automate repetitive tasks for civil servants and enhance work productivity. According to Seoul City, the project was recently awarded, with a budget of approximately 18 billion won to be completed within five months. Key tasks include building a common AI agent operation environment, constructing three specialized AI agents for administrative tasks, and adopting AI infrastructure. This initiative follows the completion of the Chatbot 2.0 project in May, which established an internal large language model (LLM). The new project plans to integrate this LLM with administrative systems to create a natural language-based intelligent work environment beyond basic chatbot functionality. The city will connect internal administrative systems with AI agents through a standardized MCP (Model Context Protocol)-based integration framework, linking systems like the work management system, conference room reservation system, and email system. Initial trials will focus on three specialized AI agents: document summarization, conference room booking, and proposal evaluation committee selection.
