China TCL Advances Large OLED Production... 'Groundbreaking Shift' in Monitors and IT Devices
TCL Display subsidiary TCL CSOT has passed final internal verification for its 27-inch 4K 120Hz RGB stripe OLED monitor panel developed using inkjet printing technology, marking the start of mass production. This represents TCL's first in-house large OLED panel production (excluding specialized medical monitors). The panel features 300 nits brightness and 99% DCI-P3 color reproduction, manufactured at Wuhan's 5.5-generation inkjet OLED line. TCL CSOT's 3x capacity expansion plan for Wuhan factory, set to be completed before Guangzhou's 8.6-generation OLED T8 line, positions this as a temporary production base. The move shifts TCL's reliance from Korean suppliers like LG Display for premium IT displays, with potential to reshape global competition in large OLED manufacturing.
