KT's AI Station Wins WSIS Prize Champion Award—Korea's First and Only Recipient

KT's AI Station has been awarded the WSIS Prize 2026 Champion Award in the information and knowledge access category, making it South Korea's first and only recipient. The WSIS Prize, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), selects winners from 1,595 global projects through online voting and expert reviews. KT's mobile AI education platform aims to bridge the digital divide and strengthen AI capabilities for future generations, with plans to directly reach schools and communities in remote areas starting in 2025. The initiative has shown high satisfaction rates among participants and educators, and KT has previously won the WSIS Prize in the ethical dimension of information society (C10) category.
