Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT: 'K-AI Models Expand into Automotive Manufacturing, Offices, SMEs, and Public Cities'
The Korea Ministry of Science and ICT announced the 10th case in the 'K-AI Model Field Expansion' series, which highlights cases of domestic AI model applications in industrial settings on the 13th. SK Telecom will apply its proprietary AI Foundation Model in the automotive parts manufacturer CoNex field, beginning AI agent deployment in the second half of the year for on-site trials. SK Telecom plans to datafy experienced workers' knowledge into a large language model, minimizing process errors through AI agents. LG AI Research Institute and Hancom are formalizing collaboration in the public and private AI office market, integrating Hancom's AI agents with LG's ExaR engine for public sector services. NC AI is partnering with the Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Innovation Association to support SME AI transformation (AX), offering an industrial AI model to reduce costs. Kim Jong-ho, NC AI's Global Business Manager, noted the challenges SMEs face in adopting AI due to costs and expertise gaps, emphasizing support for cost-effective AI integration. Orchestro Group will build public-sector generative AI services using UpsTage's Solar model, integrating RAG technology with public data into its 'Clarinet' AI solution. The Orchestro-UpsTage consortium will also participate in the AI-specialized smart city project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, aiming to develop and demonstrate an AI city value chain by 2030.
