KB Financial Group and KIPA Support 950 SMEs with Industrial Safety Infrastructure

KB Financial Group, in collaboration with the Korea Industrial Promotion Agency, is supporting 950 small and medium-sized enterprises with on-site improvements, safety equipment provision, and safety education. The initiative, part of the 'SME Industrial Safety Infrastructure Support Project,' aims to enhance workplace safety and establish safety management systems. This year, 50 supplier companies with industrial safety technology and products were selected, connecting with approximately 950 beneficiary businesses. Support areas include on-site improvements, safety equipment provision, and safety education/consulting, with customized solutions tailored to industries and work environments. The on-site improvement program features a 'Smart Integrated Safety Platform' that collects real-time data on worker locations, equipment usage, and emergency situations to proactively identify safety risks. Safety equipment includes a 'Smart Fall Protection Airbag' for construction sites, with plans to expand to semiconductor manufacturing sites. Safety training for foreign workers is also being conducted.

💡 AI analysis: The KB Financial Group and SMBA's smart safety infrastructure push signals that industrial hazard management is shifting from a regulatory compliance item to a core prerequisite for SME credit eligibility and supply chain resilience.
