In testing, Trump Mobile's first smartphone 'T1' underperformed Google's Pixel 10a in key metrics including performance, battery life, and screen brightness. According to online media TechCrunch, research institute LTT Labs revealed that the T1's benchmark scores, battery efficiency, and display performance fell short of the Pixel 10a. The test compared mid-range smartphones priced around $499, with the Pixel 10a as the benchmark. While earlier analyses suggested the T1 shared hardware with HTC U24 Pro, performance gaps were stark in benchmarks like Geekbench 6, with the T1 scoring 68% and 76% of the Pixel 10a's single-core and multi-core scores respectively. Graphics performance was even worse, with the T1 achieving only half the score of the Pixel 10a in 3DMark tests. Battery life also lagged, despite similar capacities, with the T1 lasting 9+ hours less than the Pixel 10a. Display brightness was another major weakness, reaching only 740 nits versus the Pixel 10a's 4083 nits.
