Apple iOS 27 Public Beta... Full Integration of Siri AI and Apple Intelligence Expands

Apple has released the iOS 27 public beta, featuring enhanced Siri AI, performance improvements, revised Screen Time, and Liquid Glass adjustments. The most significant change is Siri being redesigned as the next-generation Apple Intelligence system, enabling continuous conversations, retrieving information from personal data, and performing actions within apps. Responses appear on Dynamic Island, with conversation history accessible in a single location via iCloud private synchronization. The camera app now includes a Visual Intelligence mode for Siri, allowing barcode scans to save as Wallet passes or extracting events from flyers. Siri voice speed and expression customization options have been added. Supported devices are limited to iPhones from iOS 26, with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI available only on iPhone 15 Pro and later. Some advanced on-device features are exclusive to iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and Air models. Siri AI initially supports limited English variants and is not available in the EU at launch. Apple Intelligence has expanded beyond Siri, with Safari auto-organizing tabs by theme and integrating bookmarks with reading lists. 'Notify Me' detects web updates, and a natural language feature enables creating Safari extensions. The Photos app includes 'Clean Up' for removing large/complex elements, 'Extend' for generating areas outside the frame, and 'Re-layout' for adjusting composition post-capture. The Passwords app automatically replaces weak or leaked passwords and displays progress via Live Activities. Performance improvements include up to 30% faster app launches, 80% faster Near AirDrop transfers, and 70% faster photo loading. CPU scheduler optimization applies to iPhone 11. Unlocking, home screen navigation, Control Center scrolling, and lock screen transitions have been smoothed.
