Apple Releases iOS 27 Public Beta... Three Core Features to Try First
Apple has begun rolling out the iOS 27 public beta. While general users can now install the new operating system before its official release, the beta version remains incomplete and may contain errors. According to local media TechRadar, this public beta is more accessible than the developer beta and shows slight stability improvements. However, it is not the final version for general users. iPhone users are advised to proceed cautiously before installation. Media outlets note that "this is not a complete software product and bugs may occur." The official iOS 27 release is expected in September. Prior to installation, users should backup their iPhone data. They must join the Apple Beta Program, then navigate to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and select "iOS 27 Public Beta." This beta's core focus is a major AI overhaul for Siri, now capable of natural conversational interactions. Siri now actively searches the web, interacts with apps, and performs tasks based on user requests, with a dedicated Siri app allowing users to review and pin previous conversations. Enhanced photo editing tools let users adjust framing, expand the view, and remove larger subjects, bringing Apple closer to pixel and Samsung smartphone capabilities. The redesigned Shortcuts app lowers the barrier to entry by automatically generating workflows when users describe desired actions in natural language.
