First Half ICT Exports Hit 25.39 Billion Dollars, a Historical High... Semiconductors and SSDs Drive Growth

ICT exports in the first half of this year hit a record 25.39 billion dollars, driven by AI demand growth. Semiconductors and solid-state drives (SSDs) accounted for over 80% of exports. The Ministry of Science and ICT, along with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, reported a 120.5% year-over-year increase in ICT exports to 25.39 billion dollars, with a 31.3% rise in imports. The trade surplus reached 16.06 billion dollars, surpassing previous records. Semiconductor exports surged 162.5% to 19.24 billion dollars, while SSD exports grew 317.5% to 19.94 billion dollars, dominating the sector.
