EU Excludes Chinese Inverters from Funded Projects, Projecting 14% Impact on Solar Demand

The EU's restriction on using Chinese solar inverters in funded clean energy projects could affect approximately 14% of projected solar demand by 2030. The measure could raise project costs by 2-8% across markets and shift 4-5 GW of demand to alternative suppliers by 2030, though 80% of European solar and storage demand remains independent of Chinese suppliers.
