KAIST Alumni Lee Byung-kyu, Team Spartus Representative, Donates 100 Million Won for Junior Researchers

Lee Byung-kyu, CEO of AI education company Team Spartus, donated 100 million won to support KAIST master's and doctoral researchers in utilizing generative AI agents. KAIST announced the donation, which will fund a two-year program supporting researchers across all departments. Participants will access cutting-edge AI development tools like 'Claude Code' and 'Codex', along with training and seminars. The first cohort will be selected this year, with plans to expand the initiative long-term. The donation ceremony took place on the 15th at KAIST's Daejeon campus, attended by Lee, KAIST Dean Lee Jae-gil, and Professor Ryu Seok-young.
