Deputy Minister Bae Gyeong-hoon Discusses AI and Digital Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

South Korea's Deputy Minister for Science and ICT, Bae Gyeong-hoon, met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Rahman Al-Suwaidi, to discuss collaboration strategies in AI and digital sectors. The meeting aimed to establish substantive bilateral cooperation under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 strategy for expanding AI innovation and global partnerships. Both sides shared a vision of AI as a key sector for national competitiveness, with South Korea proposing AI development cooperation leveraging Korean corporate technology. Discussions included collaboration on Saudi Arabia's Human AI firm, public sector AI transformation, and digital infrastructure projects like cloud computing and AI data centers.
