NVIDIA Begins Building National AI Infrastructure for Robotics in Japan
NVIDIA has launched a collaboration with SoftBank, NEC, Sony, and Honda through the national AI development company Noetra to construct a robotics-focused national AI infrastructure in Japan. This project, described as the world's first national AI infrastructure for robotics, saw CEO Jensen Huang engage with Tokyo residents, visit iconic locations like Akihabara's former Sega arcade, and highlight historical ties to the tech industry. Huang also attended the 'Build Your Own PC' event and dined with executives from Kyocera, Tokyo Electron, Shin Etsu Chemical, Sumitomo Electric, Taio Yuden, and Ajinomoto before distributing mochi bread to waiting citizens. His penchant for sampling local cuisine during international trips, including street food in Beijing, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and South Korea, has also drawn media attention.
