Jona Pushes Ahead with Low-Orbit Navigation Service Launch in 2027… Exploiting GPS Jamming Vulnerabilities
Jona Space Systems plans to launch its first 6 production 'Pulse' satellites in October 2026 and begin service in early 2027. Low-orbit navigation satellites offer up to 100 times stronger signals than GPS, enabling more accurate positioning in urban areas, indoors, and dense forest regions. The company claims these satellites can withstand GPS jamming more effectively, with test satellites like 'Pulse-0' demonstrating 95% reduced jamming range compared to GPS. Jona has also improved signal accuracy from 4.2 cm to 1.5 cm through software updates and is developing visual synchronization services with sub-10-nanosecond precision for financial, communications, and transportation sectors.
