JCB and Circle Collaborate on Stablecoin Payment Test in Japan

JCB is collaborating with Circle to explore the use of USDC for cross-border payments and in-store payments in Japan. The partnership aims to test stablecoin transactions for foreign tourists and support interoperability across blockchain networks. This follows JCB's earlier trials of stablecoin payments in offline stores, with plans to further develop the infrastructure for cross-border transactions and merchant services.
