Securitize and Canter FitzGerald Building IPO Infrastructure for Tokenized Securities Under U.S. Regulatory Framework
Securitize and Canter FitzGerald are developing infrastructure to support tokenized securities offerings and subsequent stock issuances within the U.S. existing securities regulatory framework. According to Coindesk, the two firms are establishing a foundational issuance structure enabling companies to raise capital through tokenized securities in public markets. This structure supports both initial public offerings (IPOs) and follow-on equity offerings. Securitize, which provides tokenized infrastructure for digital securities issuance, distribution, and management, is participating in the public offering and settlement process through its SEC-registered brokerage affiliate Securitize Markets. Canter FitzGerald is handling the public offering's equity capital market and trading capabilities. The collaboration extends their existing partnership, as Securitize has provided real asset tokenization infrastructure and Canter FitzGerald's backed companies have gone public through mergers. While tokenization has primarily focused on private credit and U.S. Treasuries, there is growing momentum to apply blockchain infrastructure to listed equities. The on-chain tokenized stock market is rapidly expanding, with RWA.xyz reporting that the value of on-chain tokenized stocks increased 16% over the past 30 days to approximately $190 million.
