Ocean Mining's Jason Hughes: 'BIP-110 Success Probability Below 5%'

Ocean Mining's VP of Development and Engineering, Jason Hughes, stated that the percentage of nodes supporting BIP-110 has only reached 0.6% over the past 60 days, leading him to assess the proposal's success probability as below 5%. He noted measurable indicators show BIP-110 has not secured majority network consensus and the trend remains unchanged. Hughes argued BIP-110 is not an unavoidable proposal and could fail, potentially causing chain splits or forks in minority hash rate scenarios. He cited node support for BIP-110 at 7-15%, though even at 15% it's not a majority. Hughes urged miners to verify network status around block 961632, noting BIP-110 could be enforced if network hash rate reaches 51% at or before that block, but major participants showed no attitude shift in seven months.
