Chungcheongnam-do Launches Support for AI-Driven Transformation in SME Manufacturing, Focusing on Data Assetization and Standardization
Chungcheongnam-do is introducing IT systems for non-standardized data collection and analysis in SME manufacturing to boost yields and manage emissions, addressing EU carbon tariff regulations and enhancing international competitiveness through AI-driven transformation (AX) support. The regional technology parks (TPs) will recruit semiconductor, display, and mobility industry SMEs by this month, conduct AX-level diagnostics in August, and select over 30 companies for tailored AI manufacturing solutions. The initiative enables local governments to lead AI adoption from initial stages to on-site implementation, emphasizing high-quality data and international standardization. By applying global manufacturing data standards like AAS, the program aims to strengthen supply chain integration and compliance with environmental regulations. Collaborating with the Korea Productivity Corporation, TP will provide consulting to improve data collection methods and support AI manufacturing solutions based on AX level assessments.
