CJ Cheiljedang Unveils Premium Distilled Spirit 'Jari'...Launching in the U.S. This Fall
CJ Cheiljedang is introducing a premium distilled spirit brand to expand into overseas markets, collaborating with traditional distilleries to reposition Korean distilled spirits as premium products. The company revealed its premium brand 'Jari,' featuring two variants: 'Jari Munbaeju 24' and 'Jari Gamuchee 2024,' developed in partnership with Munbaeju Yangjoowon and Danol Bio. The products, aged in clay pots at CJ Cheiljedang's dedicated maturation facility in Non-san, Chungcheongnam-do, showcase traditional Korean distilled spirits with modern interpretations. Both products have 24% alcohol by volume, aiming to reduce barriers for international consumers. The brand, inspired by the Korean concept of 'jari' (place), seeks to globalize Korea's cultural and culinary heritage through high-end restaurants and fine dining channels, with U.S. launches planned for this fall.
