Indie Games Gear Up for BIC Festival 2026 with Marketing Buzz
[ZDNet Korea] As the global indie game festival 'Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC 2026)' approaches, enthusiasm among participating indie developers is growing. According to industry sources, small indie teams and solo developers have confirmed their participation and are launching their own marketing campaigns, including providing event invitations. This year's 12th edition BIC 2026 will first commence as an online festival from July 7 to 28, followed by an offline event at Busan Exhibition and Convention Center Hall 2 from July 14 to 16 during the Korean Liberation Day holiday. Last year's event attracted 38,273 attendees with 283 exhibits from 32 countries, solidifying its status as a global indie game platform. This year's hybrid format aims to expand global opportunities for developers and enhance attendee experiences. Notable titles include 'Pengpong,' a bullet-haven roguelike from Sandy Floor, and 'Tokkaton: One-Armed Blacksmith,' a medieval blacksmith simulation from Semo Games. Solo developer Vaeirus will debut 'Period Survival: Final Trial,' an investigation adventure game.
