CMTX Commences Mass Production of 600mm Single-Crystal Silicon Ingot and Components
CMTX, a specialist in semiconductor silicon materials and components, has successfully developed 600mm single-crystal silicon ingots, marking the beginning of full-scale production. This achievement represents the world's first success in the aftermarket sector, where components are supplied directly to customers without intermediaries. Through its subsidiary Cellik, CMTX announced on the 19th its success in developing technology for growing 600mm single-crystal silicon ingots. Key products include electrodes with micro gas holes and silicon rings that control plasma around wafers, supplied to over 20 global memory manufacturers and foundries. Larger diameter electrodes enhance wafer productivity and yield stability by enabling simultaneous processing of more wafers or increasing wafer size. Single-crystal electrodes also offer superior purity and uniform electrical-thermal properties compared to polycrystalline alternatives, addressing critical yield loss risks in etching processes caused by impurities or particles.
