Broadcasting Media Communications Council Strengthens Response to Violent Content Targeting Children and Youth... Launches Focused Monitoring

The Broadcasting Media Communications Council announced on the 22nd it will conduct focused monitoring of violent content targeting children and youth, as well as cruel and hateful information. This measure addresses the spread of videos that gamify fights and explicitly depict victims' physical and mental suffering on social media platforms and internet live broadcasts. The council will also examine cases where victims' identities are exposed causing secondary harm or where violent acts are exploited for profit. Identified violent content will undergo prompt removal and access blocking.
