South Korea's E-Commerce Exports Enter New Era as Half-Year Surpasses $1 Billion

South Korea's e-commerce exports (reverse imports) exceeded $1 billion in the second quarter for the first time, driven by high-value goods like K-beauty, fashion, and processed foods. Statistics Korea reported that e-commerce exports reached $1.0353 billion in the first half of 2024, a 50.1% increase from the same period in 2023. The growth reflects expanding overseas demand for premium products, with monthly exports surpassing $2 billion in April and sustaining upward momentum throughout the year.
