French National Assembly Passes Ban on Social Media Use for Under-15s

According to Silicon Angle on July 22 (local time), the French National Assembly approved the bill with 279 votes in favor and 81 against. Implementation of the law remains pending the constitutional committee's judgment. President Emmanuel Macron called it a significant advancement, stating that after the constitutional committee's review, measures must be implemented to protect children and teenagers online. The French government aims to implement the law before the new school year in September.
