Samsung Electronics introduced new foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 (starting at 2,278,100 won) and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (starting at 2,577,300 won). The Galaxy Z Flip8 is priced at 1,683,000 won (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) and 1,936,000 won (12GB RAM + 512GB storage). The company segmented the Galaxy Z Fold series into two models, with the standard version featuring a 4:3 screen ratio and existing designs upgraded to 'Ultra' variants. These AI-powered foldables establish a new benchmark for the category. Samsung unveiled the devices during the Galaxy Unpacked event in London, highlighting advancements like 12GB RAM, 16GB RAM configurations, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th Gen chipset for the Z Fold8 series. The Z Flip8 uses both Snapdragon 8 Elite 5th Gen and Samsung's Exynos 2600. Domestic releases will begin on August 7, with preorder starting August 28.
