Ethereum Approaches $2000 Amid Leverage Expansion... Builder Activity Surges 192%

Smart contract deployments on Ethereum have spiked, alongside rising exchange liquidity and leveraged trading. According to Decrypt, Ethereum's price rose from around $1,770 to $1,903 over two weeks, with network activity intensifying. CryptoQuant analyst CryptoOnChain noted new smart contract deployments were 192% higher than the 90-day average, with a 57% increase in the past week. This trend reflects renewed developer activity rather than speculative trading, potentially linked to new protocol launches, contract redeploys, or product testing. Binance reported stablecoin inflows 370% higher than the three-month average, exceeding $58 million daily. These funds are more likely to remain in exchanges rather than being immediately deployed on-chain. Binance's funding rates also rose 220% above the 90-day average, indicating heightened volatility as spot and derivative markets expand. Meanwhile, Ethereum's on-chain transaction fees fell 96% from three months ago, while staking participation hit 33.58%, the highest ever, reducing available ETH for immediate trading.
