Palo Alto Networks Acquires Embrace to Expand Observability Platform

Palo Alto Networks has acquired Embrace, a user experience observability company, as reported by Security Week. The specific acquisition terms were not disclosed. The acquisition adds real-user monitoring (RUM) functionality to Palo Alto Networks' observability platform. Alongside the acquisition, the company unveiled Synthetics, a tool that preemptively checks application performance across global locations. Embrace's RUM technology is designed for cloud-native environments, while Synthetics leverages Palo Alto Networks' global distributed infrastructure to verify application availability before issues reach end-users. Combining Embrace and Synthetics allows enterprises to view end-user interactions, application validation, and backend infrastructure as a unified system. Palo Alto Networks' CPTO, Lee Clarich, stated that organizations must see the entire picture from user interactions to backend processes to effectively monitor application performance, and integrating this with their Cortex AgentiX platform enables automated issue resolution. Earlier this year, Palo Alto Networks acquired Chronosphere for $335 million to strengthen its observability platform.
