Hyundai Mobis Reports 12.1% Rise in Q2 Operating Profit; Chassis and AS Parts Drive Growth

Hyundai Mobis reported Q2 sales of 16.3247 trillion won and operating profit of 9,752 billion won, marking a 2.4% sales increase and 12.1% operating profit growth compared to the same period last year. Net profit rose 13.5% to 1.602 trillion won. The company attributed the performance improvement to enhanced product mix toward high-margin items and company-wide profitability initiatives. Overseas automaker sales growth and increased supply of chassis-focused high-margin products drove overall results. The after-sales (AS) parts business also contributed through sustained global sales growth supported by favorable exchange rates. While core module and key part investments achieved profitability, electric vehicle component production concerns and memory semiconductor cost pressures persist. Hyundai Mobis executed 9,508 billion won in R&D investment during the first half, representing 44% of its annual 2.1631 trillion won plan. The company emphasized strengthening partnerships with key global automakers and expanding customer diversity, highlighting 740 million USD in new contracts with international clients.
