DeepPingSource Launches Autonomous Operations for 1,000 Domestic Retail Stores

DeepPingSource, represented by Kim Tae-hoon, has been selected as the lead agency for South Korea's 2026 AI Application Product Rapid Commercialization Support Program. The project, titled 'AI Robotics-Based Intelligent Retail Store Management Platform,' involves a total investment of 45 billion won over 18 months, from May 2024 to December 2025. The initiative aims to advance AI robotics technology tested at Lawson's 'Real×Tech LAWSON' flagship store, adapting it for domestic retail environments and scaling it to 1,000 stores. DeepPingSource will integrate three core AI functions—detection, analysis, and decision-making—into a centralized control tower, expanding from passive monitoring to active robotic execution. The collaboration includes Arala (robotics SI and infrastructure), Polaris3D (autonomous driving and multi-robot management), PlaY (precision picking and shelving), and EastSoft (AI customer service), with Seven-Eleven serving as a test site. The project will test autonomous operations across four retail locations and scale to 1,000 stores by 2026.
