Intel's 18A Turnaround Begins? Production Up 50%, Costs Cut by Half

Intel's advanced semiconductor process '18A' has shown improvements in both production and cost metrics. 18A production increased by over 50% in a single quarter, with the cost to manufacture the notebook processor 'Pentilake' based on this process dropping to around half its previous level this year. Intel is leveraging the success of 18A to reinvigorate its next-generation 14A process, which it previously threatened to cancel without securing major external clients.
