Coinbase unveiled three features supporting payments and transactions for AI agents. The update expands business payment receipt, personal trading tools, and a developer SDK to enable AI agents to perform financial transactions. Businesses can now receive USDC payments from AI agents through Coinbase Business, defaulting to x402 without requiring separate payment flows. Funds can be managed and deposited/withdrawn from a single account with a 3.35% refund rate and no chargeback risks. Personal users gain real-time order status displays, price information lookups, and continuous monitoring of price and trading volume. AI agents execute trades when conditions like Bitcoin dropping below $50k are met, operating within user-defined limits. Developers can integrate AI agent payment receipt functionality into APIs, MCP servers, and web services via the CDP x402 SDK, with tools to set policies like wallet and spending limits.
