Naver Secures $14 Billion Investment from Brookfield and NVIDIA to Build 200MW AI Factory

Naver announced on May 25 its collaboration with Canadian alternative asset manager Brookfield and NVIDIA to expand AI infrastructure in South Korea. The investment will scale NVIDIA's initial AI factory capacity from 55MW to 200MW, with the expanded infrastructure to be built at Naver's Sejong Hyper-Scale Data Center 'Gageongseong' using NVIDIA's DSX platform. This will provide computing resources for next-generation AI models, agents, and AI-based services for South Korean and U.S. AI firms. The project, which secures $10 billion from Brookfield and NVIDIA, also includes Naver's own funding and establishes a long-term plan for gigawatt-scale sovereign AI infrastructure.
