Naver has secured 100 billion dollars (14.631 trillion won) in investment from NVIDIA and alternative asset manager Brookfield to expand its AI factory business. Lee Heejin, Naver's board chairman, stated at the 'AI San Francisco Summit' hosted by President Lee Jae-myung that the investment marks a pivotal opportunity for Naver to leap into a new phase. He emphasized that the capital and global networks of NVIDIA and Brookfield will expand Naver's expertise, while highlighting Naver's 30-year history of developing internet services between U.S. and Chinese tech giants. The AI factory collaboration with NVIDIA includes building a gigawatt-scale infrastructure, with Naver leading data center development and NVIDIA providing GPUs and global market access.
